The challenge of using assessment feedback
Many Assessment Agencies and schools use various ways of reporting assessment feedback. Usually assessment results are given in terms of aggregates: 1-9, letter grades, A to E or F, raw marks or competency levels. However, some of the questions that remain to be asked are: 'To what extent are the intended users capable of interpreting and using this type of information? What type of feedback would the users prefer and how would they want the information reported them?
This presentation will outline the views of headteachers, teachers and parents on the type of assessment feedback that would be more meaningful to them.
